Sketune (画音; “we”, “our”, or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use the Sketune app for visual music creation, local project storage, optional App Store purchases (Sketune Plus and style packs), exports (including MIDI, audio, and video), and in-app feedback.
Please read this policy carefully before using the app. By continuing to use Sketune, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this policy.
This policy applies to information processing related to your use of the app. It does not govern third-party products or services that operate under their own terms (for example, Apple App Store billing).
2.1 Information you provide
a) Feedback and contact information: content and contact details you choose to submit via in-app feedback (for example, email to feedback@sketune.app) or other support channels.
b) Purchase-related information: information needed to process App Store purchases and restores and to reflect entitlement status (for example product identifiers, transaction identifiers, and expiration or ownership status). Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details.
2.2 Information generated automatically
a) Device and app information that may be processed by the operating system: such as device model, operating system version, language/region, and app version, used for diagnostics and compatibility.
b) App diagnostics: crash or error information that may be available through the platform to help us improve stability, where enabled by the platform or your device settings.
c) Product analytics and diagnostics via Umeng: We use the Umeng analytics and crash-reporting SDK to understand app usage and improve stability. It may collect device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, app version, language/region), usage events (such as feature usage and session start/end), crash/error diagnostics, and device identifiers necessary for analytics. This data is processed by Umeng under its own privacy policy. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. You can disable product analytics in Settings.
d) Local creation data: canvases, projects, drafts, Feel (playback) preferences, export defaults, touch habits, and similar settings are stored on your device by default. We do not require a Sketune account and do not operate a cloud sync service for your drawings or compositions.
2.3 No Sketune account
Sketune does not require sign-in. We do not collect account email, display name, or user ID for a Sketune identity system.
2.4 No advertising
Sketune does not show in-app advertisements and does not embed advertising SDKs. Umeng is used only for analytics and crash reporting, not for advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) for advertising or cross-app tracking.
2.5 Photos / media library
If you choose to save an exported video to Photos, the system photo library permission is used only for that user-initiated save. We do not browse your photo library for other purposes.
We use information to: provide core features on your device; process and restore purchases; improve stability; and respond to support and legal requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share necessary information only when required to provide services or comply with legal obligations, including:
a) Platform/payment providers (Apple App Store) to process in-app purchases, restore transactions, and verify purchase status;
b) Analytics and diagnostics provider (Umeng) to process aggregated usage and crash/diagnostic data as described above;
c) Regulatory or legal authorities where disclosure is required by law.
Creation data and preferences remain on your device unless you delete the app, clear app data, or remove specific projects. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to Apple’s policies. Analytics and crash/diagnostic data processed by Umeng is retained according to Umeng's policies. We retain support communications only as needed to respond and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of information we hold (for example support email records) via the contact options below.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to an on-device creation app. Please keep your device and Apple ID secure.
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or withdraw certain consents, by contacting us as described below.
Local data: you can delete projects in the app or remove the app from your device to clear local creation data.
Analytics: you can turn off product analytics in Settings at any time. Turning it off stops new analytics events from being sent; data already processed by Umeng may be retained according to Umeng's policy.
If you are a minor, please use the app under the guidance and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
We may update this policy based on feature changes, legal requirements, or business needs. The latest version will be published in the app and/or at the Privacy Policy URL listed in the App Store. Continued use of Sketune after updates indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
